Living in the mountains of North Georgia, she can be found painting and teaching in  her studio each day. 
 She has studied with several regional and/or international artists including Andrew Peters, Gregg Kreutz, Roberta Remy, Robert Johnson and Kim English .  At every level of understanding, she has a personal commitment to excellence-striving to be the best that she can be.

Melody paints from life, setting up the still life or  plein air, painting a study of the landscape and then returning to the studio using the small painting as her guide to accurately capture the light.  Her paintings are noted for their light and color.
