Melody Stieglitz Boggs
Melody, a native Atlantan, has been painting since she was a young girl. She was inspired by her grandmother who provided paints, brushes and canvas and set up her first still life on the kitchen table.
After moving to the mountains of Western North Carolina 5 years ago, her focus became painting every day. She has studied with several regional and/or international artists including Andrew Peters, Gregg Kreutz, Roberta Remy, Robert Johnson and Kim English . At every level of understanding, she has a personal commitment to excellence-striving to be the best that she can be.
Melody lives in Murphy, NC on a farm called Walnut Grove where she frequently uses the flowers and vegetables of her gardens as the subject of her still lifes. Her paintings are noted for their light and color.
